NACBS/ NAVSA Early Career Network Collaboration

The NACBS/NAVSA Early Career Network Collaboration (ECN) will bring together precariously employed early career scholars from both organizations for online and in-person events at our 2026 conferences. Successful applicants will receive funding to cover travel and accommodations to attend our in-person annual meetings. Registration fees will be waived for ECN participants. This program is supported by a grant from the American Council of Learned Societies Intention Foundry.

Criteria for Eligibility

Applicants must be within five years of completing the PhD, cannot be employed in a tenure-track position, and can demonstrate a clear lack of financial support for their research. This program is separate from the regular call for papers, and participants do not need to already appear on the program in order to apply.
